Sundia taps accomplished produce industry veteran to head fresh produce branding initiatives
OAKLAND, Calif. – Feb. 2, 2009 – Sundia Corporation, the nation’s fastest growing produce brand, today announced that Jerry Johnson has joined the company as National Brand Manager of Fresh Produce.
Jerry was previously with McIntyre Marketing where he was involved in developing marketing and promotional efforts for Produce for Kids and the Children’s Miracle Network, among others. He also previously served as the Director of Industry Relations and Communications for the National Watermelon Promotion Board, acting as liaison between industry members and the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA).
“Jerry brings to Sundia expertise in developing programs that increase awareness for fresh produce, along with the ability to implement strategies that benefit our watermelon grower and shipper partners,” said Dan Hoskins, chief operating officer of Sundia. “His knowledge and experience will play an important role in our continued success.”
